Baby FAST™ is a widely used multifamily group intervention model for young parents and their infants and toddlers (age 0-3). It works especially well for first-time mothers, and is intended to protect vulnerable families with risk factors, such as single-parent families, teen mums, isolated families, or within communities with higher risk factors.
The ultimate goal of Primary School (Kids) FAST is to increase the likelihood of the child being successful at home, in school, and in the community. To achieve improved child outcomes, FAST fosters the central protective factor of family cohesion.
Middle School / Teen FAST enhances protective factors in High School youth and their families. Based on scientific research, FAST provides youth and his/her chosen parent or mentor with structured activities that enhance communication and family functioning, decrease stress, elevate youth’s efficacy, increase parental involvement in school, and enhance youth and parent/mentor’s social support networks.
